Nutrition.

What foods are good for YOUr body?

One aspect of physical wellness is what you put into your body, your nutrition. America has struggle with obesity since the 1980s(Hemphill, 2018).  The World Health Organization identified that among all major developed countries, the United States had the highest percentage of its population as obese (Health Affairs, 2015). Within the Business and Society Review in 2015, Thomas Hemphill explains that media has not helped obesity, but rather played a part in habits such as unhealthy snacking. In movies and television, unhealthy snacking is considered normal, fun, and socially rewarding (Hemphill, 2015).

A healthy eating lifestyle is essential in keeping Americans healthy throughout their lives (CDC, 2020). The Center for Disease and Prevention control has stated that people who eat a healthy diet live longer and decrease their risk for serious health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity (2020). By eating a healthy or a more personalized diet, people can manage serious health issues and prevent complications (CDC, 2020). Below you will find information regarding nutritional health, recipes, and how to choose what foods are right for YOU!
