An açaí bowl is basically a really thick smoothie that's been topped with anything you'd like, and then you wolf it down with a spoon!
Açaí Bowl Blend: -4 tablespoons açaípowder -2 frozen bananas -2 cups of frozen berries of your choice -1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice; perhaps coconut milk for an island vibe), plus more as needed -2 tablespoons nut or seed butter (I use almond) -1/2 to 1 tablespoon honey, to taste
Optional Toppings: -Fresh fruit, sliced -Granola -Unsweetened coconut flakes -Dried goji berries -Chia or hemp seeds -Whatever you think of, I'm sure it will be delicious! :)
1. First blend togetheraçaípowder, almond milk, almond butter, frozen fruit, and honey until creamy, but still very thick and frosty.
2. After your açaí is thick, frosty and blended, spoon it out into a bowl.
3. Start adding toppings! Granola, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, fresh berries, sliced fresh banana, chopped nuts, chia seeds, ground flax seeds...there are so many options for toppings! Choose healthy foods you have on hand and fresh fruits that are in season or have a tropical vibe.
