In 2013, I struggled with stress and found comfort in yoga. I had practiced yoga since 2007, but it wasn't until this extremely stressful time that I realized the practice was much more than simply an exercise or fad. Yoga was a way of life. I set intentions in class, and carried them with me throughout my day and throughout my life. A beautiful unification of the mind, body, and spirit, bringing peace within myself- no matter life's scenarios. I want to create a community of yoga students and teachers alike, bringing peace and higher vibrations within, in the community, and in the world. When teaching I aim to bring energy and passion into the room, providing students the space for freedom. I encourage others to lift up, lead with their hearts, and mostly importantly smile- enjoying being you!
It was an exciting year in 2017 and a year of growth- hosting my first international yoga retreat in Nicaragua, buying my first house, and getting Buti certified. This year I will be hosting retreats in Guatemala and California! I practice yoga daily and teach vinyasa, Buti, and SUP classes throughout the year.
